Kiahuna Golf Course in Poipu
 Renovation of Kiahuna Golf Club's front nine holes is on track to be completed by April. The back nine, which is remaining open throughout the entire renovation process, will be completed by fall. Australian sand has been brought in for new bunkers. There is new re-seeding, irrigation changes, new championship tees, new junior tees, new greens and other features have been added. All golf carts have also had GPS added. Green fees will change once the project has been completed.
Aloha Airlines to serve Washington DC
Starting July 1st, Aloha Airlines plans to establish one-stop service between Washington DC and Honolulu, twice daily. The flights, one leaving the nation's capital in the morning, the other in the late afternoon, will connect through Orange County. Those traveling from Honolulu will be able to make it to Washington in a single day (depart 7:15am, arrive just after midnight), or will be able to take an overnight flight, putting themselves into Washington in the late afternoon the next day.
Visitor Stats- Kauai Only Stays Increase
The latest visitor statistics for November of last year showed that forty eight percent of Kauai's domestic visitors stayed on Kauai only. This was almost eight percent higher than the previous year. Among those who came from the U.S. West, a whopping 65% spent their entire vacation on Kauai. U. S. East visitors who stayed only on Kauai numbered 29% of that market, a 10% increase over the previous year. And air seats to Kauai were up 29% over November 2002. All good signs for our garden island.
